No. Aurora runs inside Allegro X and requires it, but the rest of the portfolio also reads design data from other ECAD tools, including formats like IPC-2581 and ODB++.
That depends on when the issue arises. If it happens in layout, Aurora is the most direct path. If a result needs to be verified and documented for a customer or colleague, PowerSI or Advanced SI is the right choice. If it is about decoupling, OptimizePI is the solution.
Sigrity X calculates electrical behavior: signals, power distribution networks, and noise. Celsius calculates thermal performance, including voltage drop and Joule heating in Celsius PowerDC. The two are closely connected, as electrical power loss becomes heat, and many use them together.
They cover more specific requirements: models for high-speed interfaces, component model extraction, EMI and ESD studies, and a starting point for identifying early issues in a layout.
